Exchange, Return & Refund Policy
At Ancestraz, every piece is thoughtfully handcrafted, celebrating the richness of Indian textiles. Due to the artisanal nature of our products, slight variations are natural and part of their uniqueness.
We encourage mindful shopping and have outlined a clear policy below:
1. Exchange Policy (Size Exchange Only)
- We offer size exchange only (once per order)
- Exchange requests must be raised within 48 hours (2 days) of delivery
- Exchange is subject to product availability
Important:
- If the requested size is unavailable or sold out, a store credit refund will be issued after the product is returned and passes quality inspection
- If you do not receive the correct size even after one exchange, you are eligible for a return in exchange for store credit
2. Return Policy (Limited Cases Only)
We follow a strict no-return policy, except in the following cases:
- Wrong product delivered
- Product received in a damaged condition (e.g., torn fabric, major defects)
Note:
- Minor irregularities in print, color, or texture are not considered defects
- These are inherent to handcrafted processes like hand block printing
3. Mandatory Proof for Claims
- A clear unboxing video is mandatory for any return or damage claim
- The video must be recorded from package opening to product inspection without cuts
- Claims without valid proof will not be accepted
4. Conditions for Exchange/Return Acceptance
To be eligible:
- Item must be unused, unwashed, and unworn
- All original tags, labels, and packaging must be intact
- Product must be returned in original condition
Any product failing quality inspection will be rejected and shipped back to the customer
5. Exchange Process
- Once your request is approved, a reverse pickup will be arranged (subject to serviceability)
- After receiving the product at our warehouse and completing quality inspection, we will dispatch the replacement item
- Exchange processing timeline: 5–7 business days after product receipt
6. Refund Policy (Store Credit Only)
Refunds are applicable only when:
- Size exchange is not possible due to stock unavailability
- Eligible return cases (damaged/wrong product)
Refund Method:
- Issued strictly as store credit (valid for future purchases)
Timeline:
- Refund is processed only after the product is received and approved at our facility
- Processing time: 5–7 business days after inspection
7. Non-Eligible Items
The following are not eligible for exchange or return:
- Products purchased during sale, discount, or promotional offers
- Customized or made-to-order pieces
- Products without original packaging or tags
- Items returned without prior approval
8. Cancellation Policy
- Orders cannot be cancelled once placed
- As we begin processing immediately to maintain fast dispatch timelines
9. Shipping & Reverse Pickup
- Reverse pickup is arranged once per order (for approved requests)
- In cases where reverse pickup is unavailable, customers must self-ship the product to our address
- Shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable
10. Important Brand Disclaimer
At Ancestraz, our garments are handcrafted using traditional techniques.
This means:
- Slight variations in color, print placement, and texture are natural and expected
- These characteristics highlight the authenticity and individuality of each piece
